A Winter Where Newcomers Join In

Help us raise $5,000 to open the door to winter sports for newcomers

The Challenge

The sky gets dark early. Many have little to no community. And while everyone else is skiing, skating, and laughing in the snow, newcomers are often stuck inside; overwhelmed by the cost, the cold, and the dread of needing to do it all alone.

We at the Social Fit Project want to change that.

The barriers we're breaking:

Gear is expensive
Lessons aren't cheap
People don't want to try alone
Winter depression is real

Why We Exist

Our purpose is to use fitness not only as a tool for health and wellness but as a bridge for building meaningful community connections, reducing isolation, and helping immigrants adapt to life in Canada. We are for newly arrived residents who seek affordable and welcoming ways to stay active, meet people, and integrate into Canadian society.

Through weekly bootcamps, coffee connections, and community celebrations, we're creating a space where newcomers don't just survive - they thrive.
